Poured amber in color with a medium-sized off-white head that diminished but lasted. Clear. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, resin, caramel, malts, and more hops. Medium body. Oily, then sticky texture. Soft carbonation. Hoppy, lightly dry finish. Changed (167), Ithaca, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 17, 2008 12oz bottle, pours like... an IPA! thin head, amber color, smells of a variety of citrus, pine, etc... It’s all been stated before. Tastes very good, nicely balanced, but stronger and more alcohol taste than DFH 90 Minute that was drank previously in the day. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Pours an attractive clear copper hue with a two finger creamy head. The nose is nicely balanced with pineapple and floral hop & caramel malt. The front falvor is more toward th hop influence, but there is a caramel malt mid that then reverts back to the dry hoppy, bitter finish. thefederalist (227), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA

Pours a clear amber brown with a diminishing head that leaves nice lacing in the class. Thick, grassy cascade hop aroma. Initial sweetness is balanced by tremendous bitterness, all inside a viscous body. The finish is lingering and pleasant. HopHeadinAZ (120), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2008 12oz bottle: Pours a slight hazy amber with a 1-2 finger head of ivory foam. The aroma is pure IPA with mostly piney notes. The flavor continues the aroma with some malt sweetness and notable hop bitterness. The pine flavors come through again with only a hint of citrus. The mouth feel is smooth with less coating than i would expect in a double IPA. Overall this is a solid beer but this is a crowded category with many great examples. hiphop (84), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 14, 2008 magnum bottle, came out of the bottle as a classic IPA does - nice amber hue, thin head which dissipated in snifter quite quickly. Aroma of piney hops that follows through on the palate with a mild carbonation full of piney turned sweet hops with kudos to a malt backbone. Second time tasting, second time enjoyed. can8ianben (914), Pasadena, California, USA

First Impression: great aroma, good taste, nice color and presence. Good price. Aroma is pine, flowers, lime and grapefruit. Visuals are everything a great IPA should be. Copper body, highly carbonated, nice lacing, off white head. Taste is hoppy, pine, lighter texture, not overwhelming - very nice. Palate is fluid, sweet & bitter taste buds active, medium length finish. Very enjoyable. Second Impression - a very nice example of IPA, for a good price.
