May 12, 2008 22 oz bottle...Poured a beautiful golden yellow...the initial head had a yellow tint to it, but it evened out to a thick, rich, frothy white head that provided snake like lacing to the last drop. Aromas of citrus, florals, a little pine. Taste was very mild and balance which was very surprising. Great mix of hops, malts, some light citrus (sour orange/grapefruit), a little sweetness, and some pine. The palate was medium bodied w/ just the right amount of carbonation. The alcohol was well hidden, which would mean this can be a very dangerous session beer. I will definitely buy this again...

May 10, 2008 Bottle, at the WBF in Raleigh. Copper, beige head. Very nice hop aroma, citrus, pine, and caramel. Flavor is similar, very tasty.

May 9, 2008 12 oz. Clear copper with a very small head that tries to persist. Aroma of honey, resin, tea leaf, grapefruit, and slight cocoa. Flavor of earthy tea leaf, honey, evergreen resin, toasty nut, cocoa, and grapefruit. Near the end of the glass, the taste becomes mostly just resin and grapefruit though. Light-medium body is soft and dry.

Pours a nice orange copper with off-white head with good retention. Aroma of nice grape fruit. Flavor was sweet with nice hoppy flavor and nice bitterness in the end. Palat is medium-full mouth feel with medium carbonation. Good IPA.

May 8, 2008 This was pretty standard for a Double IPA, no big surprises. Its a little unbalanced but I knew it would be going in. By the taste I would have guessed it be a regular IPA, not quite thick and sticky enough to be of the double variety. Up against some of the real DIPAs this seems like water.

May 6, 2008 Bottle: Beautiful copper color with a small lingering white head...decent lacing. Solid nose on this...pretty much a citrus-hop bomb. Some notes of light malts, soft spice tones and candied sugar tend to pop up erratically. Very crisp and biting mouth feel leads to a solid floral and resin hop base with some of the mild citrus (pineapple and orange rind) coming through on the finish along with the light malt. Solid brew, but seems to fall b/t an IPA and a IIPA.

May 5, 2008 From a bottle. Pours a capper color. Aromas of piney and citrus hops. More citrusy, piney hops in the taste with some caramel malt. Very dry finish. Good double IPA.

May 4, 2008 A yellow tinted caramel beer. Pours with a 2.4 inch head, (yes, 2.4 inch) that just won’t quit. Super bitter, hop aroma. Taste is like pure hop bliss, It’s perfect. It’s a lot, but not too much, and definitely enough. Texture is medium, and full. After taste is bitter, which if you’re drinking this, you know how good it is then.
