Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Nov 4, 2009 Bottle thanks to cavie. Pours a clear gold with white fizzy head. Aroma has a nice piney scent with some malt. Flavor of nice piney hops, malt, nice balanced bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, not bad at all. pete4999 (120), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 2, 2009 Bottle. I’m slightly surprised to see this getting as high marks as it’s getting here. Basically an above average pale ale. You know what you’re getting...crisp smooth, slightly hoppy. Floral aromas. Basically, like I said above....a slightly better than average pale ale. Nothing spectacular, but not terrible. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Nov 2, 2009 light amber color with a white head. Nice floral and pine hop aromas. Medium body. Well balanced flavor starts with floral hops then grainy lightly sweet pale malts. mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Oct 27, 2009 bottle thanks to cavie. amber with a white head. nose is grapefruity hops and light esters. decent on the palate with a flavor of fresh hops and grapefruit in the finish. bonk0076 (21), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 22, 2009 Golden haze in color. Slight head. Citrus and Cascade hop aroma. Taste is a heavier on the citrus side then the hops Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Oct 18, 2009 Thanks Hayduke! A cool looking crinkly looking cream colored head sits like an island in the middle of the pour. Great lacing and that little island remained throughout the 12 ounces. The beer itself is clear and golden with moderate carbonation visible. Aroma is unique with caramel and complex fruit. There is lemon, orange, and peach. Flavor is also fruit but not the complexity of the aroma. Light grapefruit and orange along with pine and caramel. The hops could have been a bit more assertive. It is a dry beer and one without much zest. Feel is oily and medium. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Oct 17, 2009 Bottle ( 12oz ). Hazy lemon-amber with an average lasting fizzy white head. Damn that smells good - simple - citrus, fresh slightly oily grain, light resin and lemongrass. Taste - wow that’s nice - peach, pineapple, pine resin, slightly acidic - very light alcohol, balanced, sort of bitter, not all that sweet. Average body, a bit acidic, perfect mouthfeel and carbonation, crisp, a little dry, with a tropical fruit and pine forest linger. Damn DAMN this is a fine beer - I want a growler of it ... thank goodness I have 5 more bottles from the six-pack (sorry guys, they’re all mine now). tarheels86 (700), Washington DC, USA Oct 15, 2009 355mL. I’m re-rating this after the one last night smelled literally like wet dog. Infected? But this one pours a clear, bit hazy, light amber with a small but rocky white head that has good retention and leaves sticky lacing. Great fresh APA aroma of caramel malt, tropical fruits, pineapple. Taste is rich with pineapple, light and refreshing caramel malt, citrus hops and then moves to some spicy nuttiness typical of an APA/IPA/DIPA that has sat for a bit too long. If this were ultra-fresh it would have rocked. But nevertheless, this was still excellent. Medium-bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is present and gives it a nice kick.
