It’s ok though, I am still a fan of the brewery and it’s beer. Poured a bright copper colour with a fluffhead. Soft subtle but noticeable hops all around. Grapefruit is there, and citrus fruits are abundant. Generous offerings of malts is probably what has let some down, but i think that it makes sense with this doggystyle beer. jstraw (770), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 6, 2009 Copper-amber with good, creamy beige head / Sharp cut pine and citrus nose / Light to medium body, a touch watery, but with good fruit and hop balance, and fine, sharp and bitter finish / Flavors of cut pine, brown sugar, grapefruit, strawberry (thanks Hoppo!), and vanilla / Could be improved, but a very fine beer. hoppopotamus (185), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2009 This is an amber beer with a small offwhite head that doesn’t last but leaves lace. The aroma is a simply stunning fruity hoppiness. It’s like a tapioca of strawberry, pineapple, citrus, and vanilla. The flavor just does not hold it up though. A little of the same hop flavor, but almost no hop bitterness and just a watery, weak mouthfeel. I want to see what they dry-hopped this with, but not something to write home about. blutt59 (2144), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a small, off-white head and a clear golden body. Aroma of pine, hay, straw, caramel and grapefruit. Taste is bitter, floral hops, grainy and even a light strawberry note. Lively carbonation. Really good and hoppy [india] pale ale. angrypirate06 (777), Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Clear yellow pour. Lightly hoppy nose and some caramel. Flavor of hops, dirt, and light malts. Decent little beer. mansquito (832), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Pours amber/gold with a little, but nice head. Citrus and hops aroma. Taste is rather hoppy for an APA, but that is to be expected with the high alcohol content. Citrusy taste is there as well. And some bitterness. Quite nice and the label is pretty funny. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Bottle pours clear gold with small head, spotty lace. The aroma citrus. The flavor is a nice malty sweetness and citrus grapefruit overture with a nice and refreshing palate. Not bad.
