Overall Impression:
This was really good for a Pale, had more flavor then most, and drank really nicely.
A little surprised its been rated so infrequently, as I got it in DC about 6 months ago, and its a Cali beer.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 30, 2009 On tap. The pour was clear copper with a modest white head that produced average lacing. The aroma was fruity and citrusy with some pine and pepper coming through. The flavor was mostly citrus hops with some pine bite and thin malts. A serviceable APA. Much better than the former rat turd they bottled. Wow! It’s like Hop Stoopid Light. I love the hop profile and it goes down very easy. I don’t think I’ve seen this in the stores by me, but I will definitely start looking for it. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Draught, Zeke’s. Great orange color with slight haze and a tight white head. Nice bright fruity hop aroma includes mango, papaya, and pineapple. Clean aroma. Nice sturdy body and soft carbonation but becomes sticky and heavy. Great lingering herbal hop finish. Flavors are earthier than the aromas let on, but some of the pineapple does carry through to the palate. A little difficult to finish the pint but the flavors and aromas are good. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Draught, Zeke’s Amber with a light haze. Lots of papaya on the nose with woody, apricotty notes. Woody, fruity palate has a nice rich bitterness. The balance seems good at first, but a sweetness underlies this beer that makes it difficult to order a second pint. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours out a browish copper color without much of a head on it. Smell is somewhat hoppy with some grassy and pine notes to it. Taste is smooth and easy to drink. Good malty body on it. Some hops help balance it out. Overall it is good but somewhat forgettable in a sea of beers like this. dmac (1500), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2009 12 oz bottle from EZ Liquors. Pours a clear orange/amber with an average sized bubbly off white head. Aroma has a nice touch of floral hops but and some honey sweetness as well. Medium bodied with full carbonation dspite the flat body appearance and a bitter finish that doesn’t linge to long. Flavors of is biscuit upfront with a slight touch of sweetness before quickly fading into hop bitterness that are more floral than citrus. For an APA it’s pretty good but the price seemed a tad high for Lagunitas as it was over $9.00 eve before tax. Iceman82 (27), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Gotta love this one!!! Pours a golden copper color with a big, creamy head. Big aromas of pine and hops!! Tastes of citrus hops that start of light and get stronger. Balanced perfectly with a caramel malt flavor. This is a great APA...big, balanced and hoppy!
