Commercial Description:
This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

With thanks to HogTownHarry for supplying me with a bottle. Appearance: gorgeous Amber orange with a small White head. Aroma: hops. Mmmmm. Caramel, honey and malt. Flavour: surprising: malty initially with a spicy bang, the hops that were in the nose are quite hidden. Malt, caramel and a tiny amount of honey. Very nice.

Tap at Redlight. Pours a clear gold with a thick frothy white head. Aroma is big strong piney hops, very fresh. Nice light crisp malt body with a noticeable hop bitterness. Just a great sessionable pale ale.

Bottle thanks to cavie. Pours a clear gold with white fizzy head. Aroma has a nice piney scent with some malt. Flavor of nice piney hops, malt, nice balanced bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, not bad at all.

Bottle. I’m slightly surprised to see this getting as high marks as it’s getting here. Basically an above average pale ale. You know what you’re getting...crisp smooth, slightly hoppy. Floral aromas. Basically, like I said above....a slightly better than average pale ale. Nothing spectacular, but not terrible.

light amber color with a white head. Nice floral and pine hop aromas. Medium body. Well balanced flavor starts with floral hops then grainy lightly sweet pale malts.

Thanks Hayduke! A cool looking crinkly looking cream colored head sits like an island in the middle of the pour. Great lacing and that little island remained throughout the 12 ounces. The beer itself is clear and golden with moderate carbonation visible. Aroma is unique with caramel and complex fruit. There is lemon, orange, and peach. Flavor is also fruit but not the complexity of the aroma. Light grapefruit and orange along with pine and caramel. The hops could have been a bit more assertive. It is a dry beer and one without much zest. Feel is oily and medium.
