| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Pours rich golden with white head. wonderful aroma with rich pine and citrus as well as a solid malt undertone. Flavor is a beautiful balance of malt, bitterness and hop flavor. Rich, but not lingering with the bitterness cutting though. The medium high carbonation adds to the experience helping the malt come out as well as accentuating the hops. A really great APA and what the style should be about; balance. For some reason I found the Lagunitas IPA to be just average so I wasn’t expecting much from their pale ale but geesh, this is pretty good. In fact it could almost be considered an IPA as it has a such a good mix of pine and hop taste to it. Really good pale ale. I think I may need to retry their IPA.
