| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Bottle. An amber coloured ale with a half inch white head. Aroma of piney hops with some citrus. Mouthfeel is light to medium. The flavour has more pine in the hops; it’s slightly floral with orange, and grapefruit. Much stronger hop flavor than many pales. Tight hop bite. An excellent pale ale. rader58 (181), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Pours a clear copper. Strong wonderfully fragrant floral hops aroma. Initial flavour is hops with a sweet citrus hint. Very unexpected. Finish is slightly more bitter than I’d prefer. Overall a good pale ale. KajII (50), Macon, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Bottle. Poured orange in color with a white head that dimminshed slighly. The aroma was that grapefruit and pine hops with a bready malt scent. It tasted of grapefuit with a strong hoppy flavor. The aftertaste was strong with hops and lasted quite a while. Mouthfeel was medium to full bodied with soft carbonation, very smooth going down. Overall a great Pale Ale. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Aroma is MAJOR west coast hops, mint leaf, oak and heavy, heavy pine and black licorice. Earthy soil-like malt presence, dark and gritty. Really something. Unlike any pale I know. Appears clear yellow-orange with a bubbly soda-pop head. Wispy lace. Flavor is black licorice up front, very medicinal. Weeds and more of that mint leaf. Major bitter bite on the back end; unbelievably woody all around, with hints of pink grapefruit. Feels fizzy and chewy. One of the bitterest pale ales I have ever had. Like a burnt, oaky barleywine. A strong ale/special ale flavor. boFNjackson (1303), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Bottle... Poured clear, orange with a white head, nice retention and lacing. Pineya, citrus and floral hop aroma. Foamy, well texture palate. Grainy and bread-like with a hop and malt balance. A little sweet towards the end with a lingering hop finish.
