| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Gold, white head. Nose is a pine & grapefruit hop blast, caramel, some tropical fruits. Flavor is grapefruit juice - shockingly so! More than any other pale ale I’ve had, this reminds me of grapefruit juice without the acidity. Some cattiness, orange. Finish is more grapefruity goodness. Very good! zach8270 (2127), Henrietta, New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2009 Crisp slightly copper coloured orangish-hue body with a fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of fresh malt, fresh light hops, lemons, citrus and a bit of metal. Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppiness up front with a floral and citrus pungency, with some good malt coming behind. Aftertaste shows some alcohol, hop bitterness and a bit of citrusey hops - nice! Overall, a good and well balanced APA. Good for the style and fairly easy to drink for the ABV! I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from Westover Market in Arlington, Virginia on 19-April-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 22-May-2009. illidurit (891), Santa Cruz, California, USA

Clear dark gold color with a nice, lasting white head. Aroma is unripe citrus and pine needles. Flavor is pale malty without much sweetness, with a huge hoppy dominance. Citrus rind, hop resin, and pine with a nice medium bitterness. Like a beefier SNPA. Refreshing body and carbonation. A very solid pale ale.
