Bottled (at the Rate Beer gathering at Flying Saucer, Addison).
Nut brown. Dry and nicely malty. Gentle and soft with notes of burnt sugar and a pleasant mild finish.

Golden-bronze colour. Caramel and slight toast aroma. Very malty, but not overly sweet.

Clear amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel and alcohol. Taste moderately sweet, some floral, but it's too watery/thin. Improves some as it approached room temperature, but still falls short to me.

Malty nose of honey, vanilla, and maple. Mild flavor of pine, vanilla, and sugar. Quite a nice flavor overall, with very mild hop presence, and a full body. A touch of sweet honey on the tongue balances a slight bitterness just enough.

Reddish amber hue with a small off-white head and good lace. Mocha, nutty malts, aromatic hops, barnyard yeast esters and light spice detected on the nose. The taste of a tradional seasonal ale, malty and yeasty with a mild bitter hop presence. Some acidic quality on the finish. Dry and dusty mouthfeel, soft yet lively. Different as are so many Lagunitas beers. Interesting twist on the basic style, does need a bit more bite. Give it a try. Thanks loweredsixth for the brew.

Copper color. Small head. Aroma is cherry malts. A medium bodied English Pale Ale. Nice mild malts, nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are also milder and are slightly spicy. Well balanced. Smooth taste. Then there is this chocolate taste that comes out of nowhere. Very drinkable beer. This is a very different beer for Lagunitas and very non-west coastish. But I like it! Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. NICE beer.

Fairly hoppy aroma but not a ton of bitterness in the flavour. Fairly malty. A nice beer, but not one i could drink a lot of.
