Light to Medium-bodied; Decent mild earthy flavours with some sweetness, but not much. Overall, not as great as expected, but good to try, as this is a rariety. Thanks very much to Phil (haddon90) who gave me this bottle long ago and I kept it for something special. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2004 Some spice and some sweet barleywine-like characteristics hit me from this basic brown brew. Seemed kinda like a nut-brown ale as I got into it - earthy and caramel and malty right through the slightly too sweet finish. Not bad - cheers Jeremy. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
