| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 21, 2005 Oak colour. Foamy starting head is quickly gone without much of a trace. Light aroma of dark malt and brown sugar. Flavour is a nice sweet brown sugar. Finish is sweet with a trace of yeast. Alcohol is quiet. Not a lot of life but very much like a marriage of brown ale and the Belgian style. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 18, 2005 Pours a deep copper/burgundy with no head. Mild carbonation. Aroma is of sweet raisins, orange peels, and licorice. Flavor is initially sweet and then turns to a slight sourness, interesting. Quite thin body and fizzy. An interesting brew, I’m glad I tried it but I wouldn’t spend the money on it again. TomDecapolis (3203), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Flavor of brown sugar, malts, tea, some belgian spices and a bit watery overall. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA

A great job for an American brewery - finally a US specialty beer that is not dedicated to the hop. I hope to see more like this come around. I little bit thicker and a tad mor flavorful and this would be a classic. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA

Pours a deep mahogany with decent tan head that fades quickly. Aroma has some light fruit up front, mostly banana, with alot of candi sweetness. Flavor very yeasty, bready banana with some toasted grain/roasted nutty notes through the middle and a candi sugar kick near the finish. Has gained 7/10ths on the re-rate. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2005 Very dark red and orange colored body. The head is light tan. The aroma is cinnamon, iced tea and old tangerines. The taste is sweet with honey and some rich toffee. This reminds me of sweetened tea. The taste also has some light brown sugar. An incredibly light mouthfeel with smooth and soft cabonation. I love the creamy, yet smooth mouthfeel. I wished that this had a little more funkiness or tartness to it. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 6, 2005 Fruity (cherry?), belgian yeast aromas.
Clear chestnut color w/ hints of red in the light. Tan head, decent retention.
Sweet start, carmelley finish, w/ fruity notes inbetween.
medium body, creamy.
A tasty brown ale that has hints of belgian yeast throughout. Faint aroma and mellow flavor. Not disappointing at all.
