Bottle, from Julio’s. Ok nose, sweet. Lite clove, caramel, banana, red wine. Had to dig for it though. Clean reddish brown color, god head. Sweet and spicy flavors, like aromas, but much more intense. Medium body, lite creamy oily mouthfeel, spiced sweet finish. Interesting brew, easy to drink. Nose was soft.

22oz bottle via trade from jazz88 - Thanks Eric! - Pours dark bown with mahogony highlights and a creamy offwhite head that laces pretty well. Aromas of yeasty bread, some raisins, a bit of floral hops, and toasted caramel malts. Flavor is mostly belgian yeast, some bready notes, and a touch of caramel. Nutty, a touch of raisins and some sugars. Not bad good belgian taste from an American brewer.

[bomber] Pours a nice clear brownish amber color. Smells of alcohol and sweet fruits. Tastes smooth, fruits like dates, raisins and toasted malts. Pretty decent.

22 oz. bottle: Sweet/sour nose, toasted bread, dark fruit, candied orange, nutty, herbal, yeast. Orange amber body, fluffy beige head. Starts with toasty caramel malts, nutty, dark fruit, medium body, velvety texture, nice and steady carbonation. A nicely done brew. I have to agree Ernest when he says this is a solid performer and delightful to drink, as well as not being overdone or americanized too much. Not terribly exciting, but quite quaffable I must say.

Pour is nice reddish brown and crystal clear with a thin tan head...smell is slightly metallic with some definate malty nutty overtones...I guess Jon is right...banana bread I guess...taste is sweet and slightly lemony...yeasty flavors, but just a little sour and metallic...

10.27.05 Bomber. Deep copper amber pour with lasting, small tan head. Aroma is lightly bready and nutty, banana bread I guess, and also a bite of lemony aroma. Pretty thin bodied and light, a bite of yeasty spice, and a relatively dry finish. Lingering metal and light acidity. Certainly nothing to write home about, but exactly what I was looking for tonight...mindless and plain.

Bottle @ Zum Biergarten, Cph. Aroma contains notes of nutty sweetness, some rotten fruit and tainted yeast. Brown colored body with a small off-white head on top. Fruity in the typical belgian way, with a yeasty ending. Not bad, just downright boring.

Bottle. Very nice brownish almandine body with a thin foamy head. Nose-lotion, seawater, spice. Taste-lotion, soapy, sharp spice, love, light brown sugar, light metal, black pepper. I really like what they have done with themalt and hops, but hteir choice of yeast is unfortunate. It is too spicy and too "Belgian" in a wit kinda way. Very good light bitter aftertaste. IMO, this would be a solid beer if they used a cleaner yeast. As it warms, the alcohol and boubon notes really come out.
