Firkin Gnarly Dude. Prehistoric amber hue. Funky good. Caramel soy, woody sweet, Bourbonesque. This beer rocks your board off. But seriously folks if I caught you stealing this beer from me. I would kill you.

Twenty aught-9 bomber says 11%, not 9.7%. $3.59 (New Seasons) was the first thing I liked. Red with a fluffy off-white head. Nice sticky lacing. Nose of sour fruit, fresh floral hops, glazed brown sugar, toasted malts. Sweet, astringent and bitter on the tongue, like pineapple and banana peel (yes I’ve eaten banana peel). Pine and woody, lightly roasted, fairly sticky. Very complex. Felt the alcohol quickly.

22 oz bomber. Fresh 2009. Pours a crystal clear copper with a small light tan head. Sweet fruit nose, lots of pineapple, mango scents. Flavors strong with the pineapple too, some banana too. Sweet but not to sticky sweet. Good caramel and vanilla flavors as it warms. Good brew!

Had a fresh bottle...would like to have one that has aged for a while. Very sweet malts, not really sure if I remember the banana being there. Taste has caramel and toffee, with the sugar that was present in the smell. Quality.

22 oz bottle. Vintage "Twenty Aught-9". 11% ABV. I.B.U. 69.39. Pours a thickish head of good retention, with loads of lacing, over a clear mahogany body....nose is very sweet, with fruit banana, pineapple and a bit of pine....taste is very sweet malts with balancing hops barely holding them down, finish is hop bitterness with a lingering pineapple/pine finish. Mouthfeel is rich and chewy. This seems a little unbalanced tending toward the malt back bone, but then again it is very young.
