22 oz. bomber, pours a deep red-amber with a massive frothy tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is all piney hops on the pour with layers of toasty biscuity malts, caramel, and toffee coming later. Fruity esters are a bit subdued but include prunes and plums and some raisin. Flavor is nicely balanced, but dominated by the toasty malts with piney hops providing balance into a moderately dry finish. The body is medium to medium-full; smooth, with moderate carbonation and a perfect amount of warming. Overall, an excellent barleywine. Extrordinarily drinkable, as it balances a bit to the thin side, though still supportive of a relatively high ABV and full flavors.

Pours a clear red with a small tanned head. Smells of rye. Sweet with lots of rye and caramel flavours. Slightly bready. Full bodied. Low carboantion. Slightly bitter finish with an alcohol touch.

Sampled at Empire State Brew fest in Syracuse. Simply amazing. Unequivocally my favorite of the night to this point. Malty nose with some a bit of hops trying to come through but mainly malt. Incredibly well blended together. Great malt aftertaste. Would buy again

22oz bottle courtesy of zinister. Has a good earthly aroma of barley and oats. Sweet malts on the nose also. Amber body with good beige head. Good malted caramel sweet sugar and sone dried fruits. Thick body texture and was smooth in the palate. Enjoable brew.

22 oz bottle poured into a snifter has an orange amber color and a thin layer of tan froth leaving a ring of foam on the glass. aroma has caramel, brown sugar, sticky dark fruit, and hops. flavor is heavily malted, sticky brown sugar, hop bitters, and caramel. hits of dried fruit, sweet but countered by bitterness, and thick with malts. the mouth feel is fairly full and it finishes with dark fruit and a lingering bitter sweetness. alcohol is well hidden here.
