Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a fast disappearing tan head. The aroma is sweet with powerful notes of caramel, but also lighter notes of malt. The flavor is sweet malty with powerful notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of alcohol, leading to a dry bitter caramel finish. The body is thick - somewhat like drinking caramel soup - if that exists.

(Bottle 65 cl) Slightly hazy, dark amber colour with a beige head. Fat aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Very full body with lots of caramel and overripe fruit. Spicy - almost peppery - notes. Sweetish, alcoholic finish. 230407

[Bottled, thanks MrWalker!] Clear reddish amber, minimal head.Striking aroma of grapefruit and caramel. Sweet and full bodied with fairly soft mouthfeel. The malt flavour is more prominent than in most American barley wines, but there are a good amount of aromatic hops as well. A very solid and well made barley wine with some personality of its own.

Bottle 66cl. @ home.
Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, drye berry - fruity, raisin, prune, moderate hoppy, orange, light alcoholc. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, and a dty finish. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy - oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. Bottled (Thanks MrWalker). A bit hazy amber reddish colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is plum, alcohol, candysugar and some fruity hops. Flavour is mainly the same, but with hops coming in more strong and balancing it up. Very wellbalanced and welldone Barley Wine.
