Cherry amber colored pour with a small beige head that quickly diminishes to a sticky caramel ring. Aroma of starwberries glazed with caramel sauce and garnished with tangerine zest and a fresh squeeze of peach juice. Thick, syrupy mouthfeel with tons of sweet passion fruit, mango, sticky pineapple, and ripened pear. Pleasantly sweet palate is followed nicely by some white grapefruit hop tones, but could be a touch stronger to minimize the cloying effect of the sugary fruits. Final smack of spiced fig and maple syrup. jrob21 (1278), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 1, 2002 Funky weird sweetness premeates this beer with a bit of metallic thrown in there to boot plus a weirdly acidic finish. I really hope the other one in the basement tastes better than this. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

Same color, amber, reddish yellow what the heck. Lite head. Malty aroma. Malty taste. Chewy, some hops, but not the first thing you will say after a sip. Little bitterness on the finish. Nice barley! crazyvin (1254), New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 23, 2008 poured a nice mahogany color with very thin off white head. The had dissipated rather fast leaving a beautiful almost cognac like presence. Aroma was a mix of sweet caramel notes and some leather notes. A hint of oak. Flavor was rich sweet malts, pine-like hops and a kick ass alcohol note to boot. A bit thin on the palate, but still very good.
