Bomber, from Bevmo. $4.50. Sold. This was my first venture out of Lager-land in several weeks, so maybe it’s just me, but this seemed strong. Gasoline strong. Tasty though. Lots of the usual suspects were present in the flavor: Toffee, Brown Sugar, hops, sugar, hops. Very syrupy body, extremely sweet and very, very strong. A sipper, but tasty.

Nice ruby body, minimal tan head. Awesome aroma, yeast is pronounced, caramel malts also. Great body, typical taste of a barley wine, nice malt accents, some fruit is evident as well. Green grass in the end, some light straw as well. Very nice.

Bottle shared by robert! Bottle: Dark brown color, small head. Good aroma of malt and hops. Taste is pretty smooth for a barleywine. Very drinkable.. Hops, malt, and sweet sugar. Medium texture. Over all I was pleased with this. Good barleywine! Thanks Roberto!

Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of roasted and caramel, heavy orange for the hops, light leather for the yeast, with notes of date, toffee, brown sugar and vanilla. Head is small, frothy, off-white, with almost no lacing but has good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear, flat orange/copper. Flavor started moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter/sweet. Palate is medium to full, syrupy, has a carbonation between flat and soft, and finishes lightly alcoholic. A heavy, full bodied Barley Wine to be savored at length.

Pours a beige head with legs and an amber-copper, clear body. Smells of resin hops and caramel. Flavor is caramelized malt and sticky hops. Finish is not too bitter. Strong.

This beer pours a brownish copper color, completely cloudy with a very thin pearlish white head that left a ring of lacing around the edges of the glass. Aroma is very sweet and sticky with hints of caramel, brown sugar, alcohol, wood and vanilla dominating. The flavor is full-bodied and tongue enveloping. Overwhelming caramel sweetness with hints of vanilla and chocolate. Absolutely wonderful warming alcohols but not burning in any way. Silky vanilla texture with hints of slight bitter hops toward the finish leading into more super sticky caramel. Fairly wet once again sticky finish. Molasses? Perhaps some bubble gum and raspberry in there as well as undernotes in the finish. Honestly an exceptional beer..mild carbonation, should do excellent with aging.
