Grovlam (2904), Copenhagen, Denmark May 13, 2008 Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, thanks buddy] Large fin bubbled off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Sparkling body with a lovely golden colour. Aroma was quit impressive with sweet notes of hops, apricot, citrus, grassy, some underlying malty sweetness, toffee, grain. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry and smooth texture. Very well balanced light to moderated sweet and bitter flavor with a hint of acidic. Light dry and sweet apricot finish with a mild bitter twist at the very end. Excellent Bohemian Pilsener I must say and one that I could drink all night. Well done.
ekstedt (1711), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 9, 2008 Bottle (35 cl) from Řlbutikken. Deep golden with medium white head. Bready and slightly earthy malt aroma with some dusty hops. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Nice, firm bitterness. Very mediocre compared to the better Czech pilsner I just had at RBESG08. edden (882), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Jul 3, 2008 7/3/08: Bottle. Wheat nose. Lemon body with an off white head. Lace clings to glass. Flavor of wheat and a bit of honey and lemon. Finish is smooth. Ceebs25 (21), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jul 1, 2008 Bottle. Nice easy aroma, prodominantly hops, grassy is a good description. Golden orange, nice fluffy white, minor lacing. Nice crisp bitter lager, some sweeter fruit taste as well, good lingering. The frozen mug it was served in was actually not such a bad thing, not too light either. Definitely hit the spot, i was impressed. jeremytoni (528), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Jul 1, 2008 From a bottle poured a straw color with a good amount of head. Nice smooth flavor with a quick finish. Magjayran (1080), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bright golden with a big white head. I like that I get a strong hop presence for a pils. Nice and clean at the finish. Grassy up front. Bitter in the middle. Easy to drink.
