Ansset13 (121), Wilmington, North Carolina, USA Jul 14, 2008 The pour is a nice coppery color with a small white head. Its aroma is largely floral hops with hints of sugars and yeast. The flavor is nice and crisp, citrus, pine and touches of sugars. A nice seasonal ale.
jrmac (129), USA Sep 6, 2008 Golden brown pour with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet malt and hops. A touch of caramel perhaps. Taste is very balanced between hops and malt. Good touch of caramel to smooth it out. Good effort in my opinion. ansermadide (196), Kyle, Texas, USA Sep 6, 2008 Have I had this before? Nope! Turns out that I haven’t. A syrupy-looking amber-orange colored ale with a soapy head. Slow, steady carbonation. Aroma is of a spicy strong ale. Its hoppy flavor more comforting to me, reminding me I’m closer to the American West Coast than the Northeast or European North. Yes, this is a strong ale. Obviously dry-hopped, alot like a tasty hop-variety of barley wine or double/imperial IPA, but with a little more malt. Expected of a California strong ale. Very cool brew! Rballs01 (263), Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, USA Sep 6, 2008 poured a thin orange/straw color. Taste was rather light. Minimal malt some hops. Possibly a tainted 6 pk. kmeves (992), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Sep 6, 2008 Pours a light copper color with a medium white head. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, bready and toffee. Flavor is grassy, corn, light alcohol, some citrus and spice. Finishes long and fairly bitter. Medium to full body, sticky texture. peter (336), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2008 Gloden clear in the glass. Nose is orange and lactose, we might be in for a sweet one. Flavour agrees, beaugomot and dextrose. The mouth on this one is amazing. Creamy and full with a clean finish with residual fruitiness, exemplar!
