Slightly unclear amber colour with beige head. Rather sweet despits it’s hoppy character, a charming way of expressing springtime. Fine notes of flowers and early grass. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2009 bottle. notes went downhill. Pours a clear amber orange with a small white head. notes of bread, sweet malts, and caramel. Not sure how old this bottle was, but it seemed thinned out and breadier than the last time I had this beer. Pipper (263), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Maybe this is a stupid thing to say but why is this classified as an ASA when it says cream ale on the bottle and in the description - is it the abv? Anyways the pour is very lovely: really orangey clear amber color with a great 2 finger off-white head that lasted a bit and is now hovering at about a 1/2 inch. Already starting to lace. Lots of carbonation bubbles zooming to the top with some yeast floating around a bit. Aroma isn’t very strong and upfront but you get some sweet malts and resinous hops. Flavor is not as sweet or hoppy as the smell would indicate. Dry across the palate. There’s a flavor I can’t pick out here. The dryness of the palate is complemented a roasted malt quality. A great beer, a great summer beer. hallinghansen (269), Odense SV, Denmark
