tomthompson89 (1148), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 14, 2008 Had on tap at coles, damn one of the best beers of the night!!! kinda golden color, some white foam, nose is floral hops, some grassy in there. flavor is so well done, this beer tastes like its about a week old fantastic, so fresh, lotsa hops but so drinkable, malts in there too but this is a celibration of hops.
BMan1113VR (920), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours with a foamy off-white head covering a clear amber body. Aroma of floral, pine like, and spicey hops with ripe melon and toffee. Tastes like a good clean DIPA. Although it doesn’t knock my socks off like some Port DIPAs, this stuff is good, with plenty of hop bite and a nice balance from the toffee malts. Creamy mouthfeel, slightly overcarbonated. At $3.99 for a bomber, I could get use to this. One of the best beer buys since their Gnarly wine! paiste2002 (34), Saugus, California, USA Oct 12, 2008 22oz Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a white head falling off to a delicate lace. Aroma is citrus, pine, fresh hops very in your face hops, awesome! Flavor is super hoppy up front pine citrus with a nice balance of malty sweetness and a huge hoppy bitter finish. Awesome brew, I’ll have to grab more before it’s gone. m4rest88 (79), Beverly Hills, California, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours with a dark, golden hue with almost no head.
Aroma is hoppy, very hoppy, with some dark fruits, caramel, toffee, pine needles. There is a slight alcohol note in the nose.
The beer has a sweet beginning flavor, with a heavy bitter ending with lots of hops. The nose that is full of hoppiness stays constant in the taste.
Medium mouthfeel, with light carbonation. oakbluff (226), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Oct 9, 2008 on tap at Toronado mid September. Golden pour with orange highlites, good smelling brew - fresh pine. Taste- medium bodied with full malt presence to go along with hop assault. Hops not overwhelming but still have a nice kick. Pretty balanced for a hefty dipa dkachur (900), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Served on draft at Tyler’s Taproom in Durham, NC. Gold color with a 1-finger fine, snow-white head. Citrus and resin hop aroma with a subtle maltiness. Taste is a similar hop profile, but with a brown sugary maltiness. Full bodied.
