Beerlando (1563), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2007 Rated 8/3/07. Draft at Redlight Redlight. Courtesy boboski. Oh yeah, this is a good one! Orange-gold color with a small, white, foamy head. Patchy lacing scattered randomly about the glass. Strong, and I do mean STRONG, citrus and piney hop aroma. Extreme pine resin and grapefruit on the nose. Though the hops are powerful, the buttery malts help the aroma to just skirt the thin line between overly hoppy and ideal, landing on the ideal side much to my delight. The flavor follows suit perfectly. There is a massive, almost numbing resinous hoppiness, but it has just enough toffee and buttery malts to make it very, very drinkable. Near perfect palate that is not overly sticky as some Double IPA’s are. Goes down incredibly smooth for such a massively hoppy beer. Awesome IPA! An unforgettable beer.
aaronbr (2), , California, USA does not count Dec 31, 2008 Very good looking orange-gold color and white coating lace on the glass. Fruity on the first taste, then moves into a tasty, hoppy bite. This is a really good IPA. Bronzan (8), Cotati, California, USA does not count Dec 31, 2008 Another winner from Lagunitas. Pours a rich copper color. Has a fruity aroma and a nice clean, crisp finish. One of my favorites. sloth (1558), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA Dec 27, 2008 Small white head, decent retention and a coating lace. Clear copper color. Ample fruity nose mainly citrus grapefruit pine and pineapple. Medium body with a sprightly carbonation. Medium sweet maltiness, light touch of graininess with more fruitiness apples, apricot, heavy caramel malts and just really juicey and resiny. Lightly sweet finish with a fair bite. Bottle acquired @stateline liquors and in a recent trade with DirtyMartini. blutt59 (1068), Dallas, Texas, USA Dec 24, 2008 bottle, gorgeous golden color, head is soapy and short lived, very heavy pine and apple juice nose, flavor fights back and forth between the malt and hops with finish that is a little flat alobar (725), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 20, 2008 Carbonated.
