Compliments of Steve-O, at Eduardo’s beer pimp palace. Pours caramel and with citrus tones, fruits-very fresh. Taste is of caramel, and dark crystal malts balanced nicely with citrus and mango, a nice bitterness throughout. Awesome beer, would love to try on tap.

Bottle. Moderate malt and hop notes of cookie and caramel, and perfume and a little citrus, light soap for the yeast, and hints of vinegar, solvent, wine, pepper, alcohol and pineapple. Head is small, creamy, slightly off-white with fair lacing and good legs and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear light copper. Flavor starts moderately sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, creamy, has a lively carbonation and finishes lightly astringent. A good American Strong Ale, but a few harsh attributes threw the numbers off a bit.

Pours amber with medium head. Aroma is nice citrus hop underlined by a pronounced caramel malt sweetness. Flavoir is again nice citrus bitterness, smooth malt sweetness through the middle. Finishs with a crisp biterness. Slight hint of alc in the finish but very well balanced overall.

12 oz from Michael’s Fine Wines in Orlando, FL. Pours amber copper with a small slightly off-white head. Nose is pine hops, spice, rosemary, some citrus, caramel, and booze with hints of sugar/ honey. Flavor is very interesting with caramel and malt throughout, but grapefruit, brown sugar, and spice join the mix. It has elements of several other Lagunitas beers, but is very unique and delicious on its own.

Sixer purchased somewhere in Lakewood. for around 10 bucks. Not a bad deal for something that’s a) nearly 10% abv and b) really fucking good. This pours the perfect American strong ale dark amber with a thin cream head. Aroma is a nice simple balance of floraly ctirusy hops and some decent malt backing. Flavor is a very smooth and creamy malt with a nice ending bitterness. God, this is good and drinkable. I wish this was a year-round beer, I would have a sixer in my fridge on stand-by.

12 oz bottle from Beverages4less. Pours an amber-brown color with a fair size off-white head. The aroma is overtly hoppy with pine and caramel. The flavor is that of a big red with loads of caramel gobs of biter hops and some walnuts. The finish is long and biter with lingering saccharine. The palate is full and smooth. Overall: A very nice imperial red, but not my favorite in that unrecognized category. I’m picking up a trend of too many over-sweet beers by Lagunitas. Come-on y’all, easy on the sugar.

Bottle thanks to 17thfloor. Clear light brown-amber with medium to large white, creamy head. Aroma is nice stinky, pungent hops that more then blows out the subtle caramel dry malt in the background, pine and citrus hops are most prominent with a little tropicalness going on as well. Flavor is medium sweet caramel with big hop forward presence, yet balanced, fantastic. Medium to full with nice carbonation, a little sticky as well. Wow, this is a hop bomb and exactly what I was looking for right now. Though I could probably drink this all the time as well.

Tap at Pap. Reminds me of Arrogant Bastard but smoother and with fewer West Coast BW type hops. Prominent apple and mild alcohol, and that’s a bit it. Boom.
