11/15/07. thick creamy light tan head, copper colored body with some yeasty chunks. aroma is fruity like orange peel and floral hops. flavor starts out with toffee malt and goes quickly to a piney hop. a little boozy bite, sort of rummy & ginny at the same time. dry & bitter finish/aftertaste.

12oz bottle, 9.02%ABV, 72IBU’s. Clear, amber body sparkles beneath a firm, off-white head that leaves behind smooth, thick sheets and rings of lace. Malty aroma of caramel, spicy musk (lemon, earth, clove), banana, citrus hops, fruity esters. The lovely palate fades as the taste improves whilst sitting out and warming. Flavor of cane sugar, caramel, clove, plumb, lemon-grass, a nice and hoppy finish of grapefruit rind and pine, but noticeably acidic. Alcohol notes throughout. A bit harsh. Long, bitter and acidic finish.

Bottle pours clear red brown with a short lasting head - some lace. The aroma is quite malty with some serious hops to cut it. The flavor is caramel. cookies, hops, all well balanced to produce this imperial Bitter. The palate is well enough bodied. Overall, this is pretty decent. I can’t help but think these guys’ brewery must really use a whole bunch of barley and other sugary types of things.

Pours a caramel color with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops pine and citrus. Flavor is citrusy hops, caramel, malt, brown sugar, touch of bitterness. Nice oily mouthfeel feels good all the way from sip to swallow. Nice brew.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Pleasant aroma of sweet citric and floral hops. The flavor is well balanced, with citric hops, pine, and sweet caramel. Very good.

On Tap. Full malt flavor, full body, and a nice fresh hop character balances well with the malt. The brew was a little sweet but otherwise was good.
