Sep 2, 2009 Appearance is a dark copper red with a large puffy head. Clear and glassy with a minor orange tint.
The aroma is simply tremendous. Wet-smelling hop scent with floral and citric hops. Like a tremendous double-IPA with a ton of hop character. The hops are complex and not just overly bitter-smelling. Strong alcohol smell as well.
The taste is an excellent strong ale alcohol flavor. Has a heavy, thick top layer of heavy hops. Very bitter and heavy. The hops are also woody. The taste is good although couldn’t possibly live up to the smell.
The feel is thick, creamy and bubbly. Leaves a thick film. A really substantial brew. Really delicious, and though it’s heavy, it’s a fast, easy drinker.

Aug 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours deep brown with creamy head. Hop aroma, sweet body, not too heavy on the alcohol. Decent beer.

Aug 14, 2009 A brown beer with no head. Aroma was very sweet, & very bready. Taste was sweet, bready, & some bitterness towards the end. The sweetness is so strong it was quite undesirable, but was a very bready brew. I am a fan of Lagunitas & love the Correction, Hop Stoopid, Sumpin Sumpin but this beer seemed out of wack & TOO SWEET.

Aug 9, 2009 My brother Bob brought this one to the Islands gathering ’09’. It had very mild sweet malt aroma with large floral hops on nose. Tastes hop bitters upfront with grapefruit like sour in mid and lasting floral hops on palate. Great brew for those who like the bitterness more than me.

Jul 28, 2009 Grabbed a bottle of this from the spring WBF so its a little "old". Pours a peachy copper with a one finger sticky sandstone yellow head. The nose is rich and malty, leans English Strong Ale in the hop and malt profile. Rich caramel malt with a strong spicy and herbal hop feel. Smells like a Double ESB. Flavor is strong and malty with a waxy bitterness and earthy yeasty character. Palate is a bit thick with some warmth and a prominent bitterness.
