This brew pours the most truely brown color of any I’ve seen as of yet. White head of moderately sized bubbles. Smells of strong hops and a good dose of sweetness, brown sugar maybe. This ain’t no IPA but it sure is bitter. It’s got a great hop bitterness to it. Lots of alcohol on the finish, but in a good way! For a big beer its not very thick. Good carbonation and lots of that hop bitterness baby. This beer tastes great. For anyone who loves hops this is a great ale. I wouldn’t drink too much though, potent! beachbum25 (800), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 22, 2007 22 oz Bomber-Trade w/pepsican. Poured a deep amber color w/a huge foamy tan head w/lasted thru the brew. Floral hop aroma w/a touch of malt. Had a strong hop flavor on first taste, but that initial bite was well balanced by a full malt finish w/touches of roasted almonds & caramel. Well balanced brew. Alcohol was well hidden. Mouthfeel was a little thin, but it did not take away from the enjoyment of this brew. Thanks Andy!
