| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Fairly clear, dark brownish-amber body. A large, foamy, off-white head leaves behind thick, sticky ribbons of lacing. The aroma shows sweet brown sugar malts, hints of molasses, cream, and moderate piney hops. Caramel and molasses flavors are balanced out by floral and piney hops. Cream adds a smoothness to the flavor and the consistency, making for a milkshake-like, satisfying beverage. The body lies on the heavy side of medium. Clean finish. Alcohol is undetectable. Lagunitas continues to pump out really solid, strong American brews. This one is no exception. Gachupines (292), USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 28, 2007 Bottle. Classic hoppy aroma with hints of lime and exotic fruit from a deep amber, clear beer with lasting, fluffy tan head, The flavor is intensely bitter with a good balance between hops and caramel malt. Long aftertaste with a in- your-face alcohol punch. Very nice beer, but I cannot understand why it is not classified as a Double IPA. jcwattsrugger (5403), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 27, 2007 22oz bottle -pours a foamy light tan head and deep amber color. Aroma is northwest hops-citrus/resiny/pine, syrup, medium malt. Taste is tingly on the tongue, northwest hops-citrus/resiny/pine, syrup, medium malt, pick up of alcohol at the end. Good effervescence, could be an American Strong Ale, but best I2PA I think I’ve had.
