Bottle. Classic hoppy aroma with hints of lime and exotic fruit from a deep amber, clear beer with lasting, fluffy tan head, The flavor is intensely bitter with a good balance between hops and caramel malt. Long aftertaste with a in- your-face alcohol punch. Very nice beer, but I cannot understand why it is not classified as a Double IPA.

22oz bottle -pours a foamy light tan head and deep amber color. Aroma is northwest hops-citrus/resiny/pine, syrup, medium malt. Taste is tingly on the tongue, northwest hops-citrus/resiny/pine, syrup, medium malt, pick up of alcohol at the end. Good effervescence, could be an American Strong Ale, but best I2PA I think I’ve had.

Pours dirty copper with a great, dense head. I’d guess this as a barleywine from the nose alone. Lots of citrusy hops, caramel malts and earthy yeast. Medium body, with full profile. The malts dominate at first, noting residual caramel sweetness, dark bread and bitter cocoa. The finish is nicely hoppy with plenty of pine resin and grass. Leave a tongue scraping numbness from the hop onslaught as well as the high ABV. Beautiful hop burps taboot.

Good and flavourful, but a bit too strong on the alcohol smell and taste, hoppiness, and a little too bitter at the end. This all tends to throw the balance a bit and make it rather harsh, but otherwise, it has some complex flavours, a good head, and deep amber colour. It just doesn’t come close to their outstanding Lucky 13 or Imperial Red.

Pretty good, sweet and hoppy aroma. Pours a dark reddish. Flavor was a little too sweet and syrupy, but still nice and enjoyable. Pretty thick.
