Pours a dark brown with a thin white head. Smells of rich coffe and caramel malts as well as floral hops. Taste is hoppier than smells but the coffee and caramel notes are there. The hops subside to give way to a coating palate aftertaste that becomes controlled by the matly notes once again. Nice beer.

Aug 11, 2008 22 ounce bottle from Belmont Station--Poured a cloudy amber-copper body with a thick off-white head. spicy, bitter, alpha acidic nose with some floral and fruity hoppiness. Big malt underpinning with lingering grapefruit hops and sticky prickly bitterness and a sparkling mouthfeel. Yum!

Jul 15, 2008 Bouteille de 660 ml partagé avec Lady Susan, à Volo (Toronto), le 13/7/08. Couleur thé ambrée, moyen collet. Arome d’houblon amère agréable, notes de thé noir. Goût d’herbe houblonné, bonne amerturme et un peu fruité. Une bonne bière amère et malgré son taux d’alcool, tu ne le sens pas!

Jun 29, 2008 Bottle 22oz-Dark amber color with a medium size head that was slighty off-white. Aroma had some hops. The flavor was carmel with some nuttynees undertones, finishing with some hops.
