Pretty nice amber color, not much head. Aroma is very weird. It isn´t really mämmi, it´s more sweetness such as caramel and even butter - but in a very bad way. Quite repulsive. Flavor is pretty much the same. An awful buttery vegetable taste is dominant. Horrible. esox (265), Oulu, Finland
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Clear, brownish copper beer with a thin white head. The nose has a hint of malt and hops. The aroma has some rye malts and caramel but no mämmi. Slightly hoppy and metallic in the finish. The flavor is sweetish malty and has some butter and caramel. Very light bitterness. Light to medium bodied and quite soft palate. The idea of makin mämmi-beer was great but maybe they forgot to put mämmi in the kettle... sayravai (3733), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 17, 2009 (Bottled) Clear, deep copper with a small, tanned head. Very mild aroma of caramely, lightly roasty malt when cold. Some mämmi and hints of pea-soup coming up with warming. Caramely, slightly sweet malt, and some rye in the flavor. Metallic, especially when cold. Light to medium, not watery body with soft carbonation. Not something I’d find interesting enough to drink for other than rating reasons - but, IMO, definitely not as repulsive as others say. In blind tasting, this could be mixed with any random Vienna from Hartwall. MitchWayne (264), Kokkola, Finland

Deep amber colour with small head.
Quite unattractive aroma is metallic and smells like Finnish liverwurst. The flavour is even more off the track. More liverwurst (not the good way) and metallic flavour. No good, no good at all. There is NO MÄMMI. I’ve tasted beer with mämmi flavour but this Mämmi Beer doesn’t taste like mämmi at all. What’s wrong? It’s great that someone keeps trying in Finland but this is quite disgusting. But there is one positive thing in this beer. It’s produced with wind power! punainen6 (93), Finland
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 13, 2009 Bottle. Small fizzy head and a dark amber body. Quite neutral aroma with some vegetables and caramel. Some carbonation but quite thick metallic taste, little bit of butter but overall quite bland like the aroma suggests. What this thing has common with mämmi, i have no idea.
