Bottle. Dark reddish brown colour with a medium-sized tan head. Roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate. The flavous is roasted malt, slightly sweet with hints of liquorice. Better than I expected.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with a foamy head. Fruity aroma with dried fruit, rye bread and a hint of caramel and spicy malt. Fruity and slightly sweet taste with marzipan, dried fruit, caramel and some hoppy hints. The finish is sweet, fruity, slightly roasted and mildly carbonated. Nothing outstanding, but fairly enjoyable.

50cl bottle. Served a little too cold, got more out of it after I let the glass rest for 15 minutes. Some more points that way. Pours brown, dark reddish color, with a white head. Strange fish aroma, stays with me all the session. Flavor is caramel and little sweet and malty. Really enjoyed the taste, but the aroma was not to my liking.

(Draught) Served way too cold. Poured deep dark brown and clear with medium sized light brown head. Aroma was burnt and metallic. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Tasted of malts, burtness, bitterness, metallicessa and lightly hoppy. Malty aftertaste.

Dark red-brown colored with medium sized beige head. Roastiness dominates in this chocolaty-grainy aroma, some interesting exotic fruitiness also comes up, thin licorice here too. Thin to medium bodied, soft palated. Flavor is even more roasted with dark chocolate too, grains also here. Aftertaste dries with chocolate still.

My second rating for this, the first one was lost on the way ... somewhere. Dark copper ruby color, good creamy off-white head, some lace. Aroma of balsamico, maksalaatikko (liver casserole) and caramel. Mild caramel, some earth, dusty hops, overall sweetish. Harsh-sweetish malty finish. It is certainly close to English Mild ales, but not its best from keg. I had to find a bottle for rerate. (4/4/5/2/9 2.4)

Found my 1st rating: Dark brown color, small off-white head. A bit chocolaty, molasses, some grass and liver casserdole. Caramel, molasses, chocolate. Finish has some bitterness. Too much of decent Laitila’s house flavor in this. (6/4/6/2/11 2.9).

far worse than I expected. Watery and just bad combination of flavors this time. or did I have a bad beer day.

Dark reddy brown, healthy head. Lagery aroma, like a good dunkel. Hard to believe this is top fermented from the aroma. Roast is decent, a touch toasted bread. Crisp carbonation. Pretty burnt and liquoricy taste, some saccharine and caramel too. Refreshing, but perhaps a little thin. Not lacking in flavour. Finish is slightly dry burnt toast, and a few hints of metal. Fairly tasty quaffer, but nothing special.
