| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2009 Bottle. A dark, reddish brown beer, clear, with a two-finger creamy off-white head. Beef-stock, coffee-notes, roasted malts and a hint of wet cardboard in the aroma. Coffee, beef-stock, roasted malts, some chocolate and a lack of hops in the mouth, dry and full-bodied. It finishes in the same roasted, stocky way, and still without any hoppy bitterness worth mentioning. The beer could use some hops, and the wet cardboard in the aroma should go. Else, it’s a nice beer. (090501) Nordcore (296), North of, Norway
