Bottle. Low white and quickly disappearing head. Barley malt aroma with a nice amount of hops bitterness and alcohol. Roasted barley malt aroma with fair amoutn of hops bitterness and a hint of the alcohol. Coffee as well but more would definately have suite the beer. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste. Nice surprise though.

Almost black and dark brown color is little bit reddish. Head is thin. Sweet roasty aroma with milk chocoloate, caramel and rye bread. Also little bit iron there. Taste is very roasted malty with some coffee, too. Hoppy bite in the end is not bad at all. Medium mouthfeel. Very drinkable porter, but not special.

[on tap at EBF 2008] Sweet roasty aroma with toasted bread. Almost opaque red-black with a thick tan cover. Powdery and toasty flavour with dark malt characteristics and a nice dryness. Some detectable dried fruit. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, almost clean.

EBF2008. It’s a transparent brown/black beer with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of candy sugar, roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has sweetness and notes of roasted malt, a little chocolate, a slightly roasted, light citrussy bitterness – and IMO it’s a bit unbalanced.

Draught@EBF 2008. Dark brown to near black with a ruby glow. Thin choco head. Clean, light sweet toasted malt aroma with medium intensity. Some fruits and notes of chocolate. Taste is fairly dry, has a distinct acidulous fruitiness along with notes of lightly toasted malt. A hoppy bite in the aftertaste. Rounded mouthfeel. Dry ending

Tap @ EBF, 2008, Carlsberg.
Pours deep red-black with a nice, creamy, small, film head. Soft aroma, chocolate, lightly roasted - though overall a bit weak. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is a little metallic, then super dry, very roasted and pleasant hops. Good finish.
