Pours clear deep amber with thin tan head. The aroma is mildly musty dark fruitiness, some mild molasses and a nice load of roastiness. The taste is a bit thinner and meeker than I expected. I get nice burnt notes mixing with roasty malts. The dark fruity esters are more mild than the nose led onto but with ample amounts of grape, dark berries and plums. All these notes come together in harmony creating a pleasant experience.

500ml bottle (alko)
Massively chocolaty taste. Long coffee finish. Complete re-invention of the one we had draught last year. Excellent stout - sticky, dry, heavy, dense, and yet incredibly drinkable.

Draught (SOPP2007, Helsinki)
Black, dark head. Slightly lagery aroma, some burnt malts. Taste is clean and richly roasted like a good porter. Not sticky or cloying. Covers the 6.5% perfectly.

500ml Bottle - Black in colour with a lively tan head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma with some appealing roasted notes. Slightly smoky and burnt taste with coffee and plain chocolate also featuring. Very smooth and easy to drink with pleasant bitterness in the finish. Rather delicious. Excellent! More like this pleae, Laitilian!

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very black, small beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Medium sweet with dense malt. Lots of heavily roasty ground coffee. Long salty bitterness. Typical Baltic Porter with it’s simple but powerful flavour, that otherwise less interesting brewers seem to master. This is really good! Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas are certainly moving in the right direction!

Bottle, 6.5%. Very dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is slightly sweet, quite roasted, but not bitter. Creamy flavour and mouthfeel. Low carbonation, quite pleasant. Very nice, subtle but flavourful.

This is a new lager yeast porter from Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas. Almost opaque black, small tan head. A bit sweet, toasted aroma, not very strong. Creamy mouthfeel, toasted malty and a bit sweetish flavor. Long roasted and slightly hoppy aftertaste. (6/4/7/3/14 3.4)
Re-rated, bottled (BB 02/2009)
Almost opaque dark brown color, nice medium-sized expresso head. Chocolate and cold coffee in the nose. Very roasted flavor: dark chocolate, some sweetness too, but not lactose sweetness like in the sweet stouts, but more caramelly. Coffee beans in the aftertaste. Overall quite roasted, but nicely drinkable: not feeling like 6,5% except with warming aftertaste. Bottled version is a positive suprise. Balanced and enjoyable. (7/4/7/4/15 3.7)

The aroma is stale, dusty fruits with tired malt components and some light treacle/molasses notes. The body is a ruddy dark brown and holds a wispy tan head. Flavor is toasted/roasted malts, molasses, caramel, lots of fruity esters and more full dark fruit notes. Interesting and fairly tasty.

Draught at EBF 2008. Dark brown coloured with a medium sized off white head. Roasted aroma of coffee, fruits, hay and alcohol. Roasted flavour of coffee, hay, dried fruits and hops. Hoppy and roasted finish.
