500 cl can thanks to my friend juha. the beer is slightly redder than the can itself, very clear with little carbonation although lots of lacing. very crisp aroma and flavor which are very similar, nutty and bready, some leathery earthy fruits like strawberry. typical dunkel with surprisingly bitter finish.

Canned (BB 09/2005)
Reddish copper brown, lots of carbonation, big brown/yellow foamy head, lace. Roasted, woody aroma. Sweetish caramel and roasted flavor. Good roasted aftertaste, just lacks some alcohol. Quite nice dunkel.

Can, 0,5l. The aroma is sweet of malt, with notes of dark bread. The beer has a deep cognac cognac. Thin foam. The taste is deep roasted malt with a lovely bitter. The finish is just as bitter as it should be, with a long and soothing aftertaste. Great!

Canned - Bruxellensis - Courtesy of Dan Shelton. A reddy amber coloured beer with no head. The aroma is malty and nutty with berry fruits. The taste is fruity with more berries. Malty, sweet and drinkable. Actually very tasty for a canned beer of this strength.

Clear, deep copper-red colour, smallish beige head. Very fruity, sweet aroma of rosehip, toffee and yeast. Flavor reflects aroma with fruity malty sweetness. Slightly bitter finish with a hint of toffee in the aftertaste. Unfortunately a bit thin-bodied and watery, but definitely an interesting and enjoyable dunkel nevertheless. Could probably use a bit more alcohol, as tbone pointed out.

Sampled draught at Helsinki Beer Festival.
Ruby in colour. Lightly flowery nose. Dry, clean and grassy with light body. Rather bitter finish. Plain, but enjoyable.

Draught @ Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki, Finland. Blackish brown beer with little head making it look like coca cola. The aroma is weak, yeasty and malty, and the flavour is dark chocolate to start with, malty and yeasty in body and roasted at the finish. Overall an average quite yeasty and malty beer.

Medium light beige head does not last. Deep brown body with light carbonation. Roasty caramelly aroma with peppery notes and dried fruit. Dry-sweet roasty caramel taste with notes of wild berries and pepper. Dry roasty cardboard aftertaste. Quite good, if a bit watery. (0.5l can, St. Urho’s pub, Helsinki.)
