| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 11, 2008 Canned. Clear golden colour. A thin off-white head. Weak lace formation. Malty aroma has butter, some honey and lemon. A bit metallic hops in the finish have lemon notes. Flavor is sweetish malty. Honey and some sweet caramel in the finish. Medium bitteration in the finish is quite soft but metallic. Oily texture and low carbonation. Medium bodied. This stronger version has maltier body and more diverse aroma with some fruitness compared to 4,5 % Kukko Pils. The finish is more metallic in this one. Both are OK pilseners to me. wunderbier (1267), Tampere, Finland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Atomic gold hue; the head is foamy, white and short-lived. Soft aroma of hay and white bread toast, light accent of white pepper along with a sliver of graininess. As it warms, an air of salted oatmeal comes across. A touch overly sweet for the body and limited complexity. The finish has a soft, floral bitterness and a mild dryness. Develops some bubble gum over time. Light to medium bodied with a silky texture and lively carbonation. A little clumsy at times, but ultimately very drinkable.

Grainy rubbery aroma. Dry rubbery grainy taste with rubbery pea and straw notes, as well as some fruitiness. Soft, dusty mouthfeel, quite smooth. Some sweetness. Dry dusty peppery aftertaste with grassy notes. Quite good, and would be great without the rubber. (0.33l can, Alko, Helsinki. Second rating. First was bad.) yespr (12135), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Golden colour, bright and average size, white, more or less fully diminishing head with fair lacing. Fruity, malty and moderately bitter flavour. Slightly metallic, softly carbonated and medium-bodied palate with a hint of alcohol. Good pils, which tastes slightly different than the class III version (Kukko Pils III). 01/08/06
