This poured a slightly hazy deep golden in color with a thin head that dissipated away. Aromas were of sweet florals, spice, wet dough and tangerine. In the mouth it was medium-bodied, smooth and rich. The flavors were on the herbal/floral side and finished with some drying bitter hops.

Bottled. A hazy orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of oranges, spices - especially coriander and yeast. The flavor is also sweet malty with strong notes of fruity esters, yeast, and spices - again especially coriander, leading to a dry spicy finish. Nice triple.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of yeast and some banana. Quite full-bodied with plenty of fruit and yeast. Warming alcohol in the finish that also is a little astringent bitter. Starts off prety nice but ends a little crude. 210308

Slightly sweet aroma, hints of fruit, candi sugar, and yeast. Pours a hazy orange, with a dusting of head on top. Very sweet tasting, with a touch of seeds of paradise/pepper in the finish. Touch of alcohol in the throat. Not bad, but not my preference of style.

12/02/2007: Brother Tim’s Tripel Belgian has a cloudy, dull, brownish-orange color that looks opaque in the glass. The white to off-white head disappears quickly. There is a mild to moderate level of carbonation. Caramel malt, fruit, and a light amount of spiciness and bubblegum are present in the aroma. The flavor is full and well-balanced between a caramel and fruit maltiness and a delicately spicy and floral bitterness. There are also flavors of candi sugar, bread dough, bubblegum, cream of wheat, buttery toffee, and some warming alcohol. The complexity is fairly impressive. The body of this beer is medium and it is mellow and soft on the palate. Overall, this beer is very similar to <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/furthermore-fatt Fatty Boombalatty. Brother Tim’s Tripel is categorized as a Belgian Tripel, but a bit more bitter and peppery in the finish. It also seems a bit dark and deeper in flavor than that of a typical Tripel. "Belgian Ale" might be a more apropos style for this beer, but let’s not split haris. Afterall, a good beer is a good beer regardless of the style!

Bottle from buckybeer. Looks like a tripel, smells like a tripel, and taste just like a triple. Nutty flavor is noted.Soild flavors and nice firm body on this brew. Very light bitterness in the finish.

12 oz bottle from iowaherkeye. Thanks Joey. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color. Head was thick and off white with good retention and lacing. Pleasant aroma of banana and clove with a dash of brown sugar. The delicate sweetness up front strengthened somewhat toward the end and was accompanied by dry spices and mild to moderate bitterness that balanced out the sugars. In addition to clove and subdued banana, warm alcohol and plum rounded out the flavors. Pretty good representative of the style.

A medium hazy copper pour. Small quickly fading head and decent carbonation and moderate lacing. Aroma is spices, bananna, coriander and malts. Flavor is pretty big on the spice. Also ripened fruits, malts, wheat. I thought it was a fine example of a Tripel.
