This beer was very, very...average. I’m not a huge fan of the style, but to my mind this beer was in accordance with my expectations for a cream ale without a lot of extras. It was somewhat "creamy" and sugary, but beyond that there was not a lot to distinguish it from an American lager. The beer had a pleasant enough appearance...a pale straw color with a fairly Sprite-like head. Aroma was rather sweet, like candy sugar. And that was the primary component of the flavor as well...not a lot of hoppiness or maltiness and no "add-on" flavors like fruitiness, chocolate, toffee, coffee, etc. Mouthfeel was unremarkable. Not bad - I finished the bottle, but not something I’d be in a rush to have again.

thanks again JAY! 12oz bottle. pale straw color with short lived white head. sweet nose smells like there’s some corn in the mash. not much going on here. tastes like a macro with less carbonation and more body. must have been brewing a crowd pleaser.

Sampled at RBSG 2007 grand tasting Gold colored beer with a light malt nose. nondescript taste on this gold pour with a somewhat off-taste.

RBSG 2007: Poured a hazy pale gold with a white head. Aroma, honey, pale malts, sugary. Flavor, honey, some floral spice, pale malts. Pretty solid.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with Brigadier (thanks!). Poured a lighter and hazy straw color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of buttered popcorn (hmmm, not good) and some what grainy. Butter bomb tastes. On my way to the drain. Someone please send me another bottle and I’ll re-rate it!

Bottle thanks to Brigadier sampled on 2/13/07: Pours a clear pale champagne golden with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of sweet slightly creamy pale malt with a touch of mild fruity notes. Body starts mildly sweet and smooth with a slightly earthy noble hop balance. True to style and very drinkable, but otherwise bland.
