| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 9, 2007 12oz bottle acquired in trade with Brigadier (thanks!). Poured a lighter and hazy straw color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of buttered popcorn (hmmm, not good) and some what grainy. Butter bomb tastes. On my way to the drain. Someone please send me another bottle and I’ll re-rate it! CaptainCougar (5493), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2007 Bottle thanks to Brigadier sampled on 2/13/07: Pours a clear pale champagne golden with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of sweet slightly creamy pale malt with a touch of mild fruity notes. Body starts mildly sweet and smooth with a slightly earthy noble hop balance. True to style and very drinkable, but otherwise bland. JPDIPSO (4911), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 24, 2004 Yellow straw color with a small lid of small white bubbles. Light floral hops mixed with mild malt and corn aromas. Clean nose. Light pale malt sweetness throughout the quaff. Crisp and refreshing, but enough flavor to keep it honest. Light hops come in late to whisk away some of the light sweetness. A small amount of acidity late. Very clean brew. Almost too clean and unoffensive. A real lawnmower type brew. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2006 12 oz bottle (Riley’s Wines of the World, Madison WI October 2006) consumed a bit above fridge temperature from a Coors Banquet pils glass. Giant snow-white foamy-thick head subsides quickly to a moderate creamy wisp atop the clear light-honey body....fresh grainy nose, hints of honey, creamy malts dominating, bready and just right....body is soft and smooth, faint hints of sourness underlying the predominantly sweet malts, with light, pleasant woody bitterness to finish....low to moderate carbonation, touch of stickiness in the mouthfeel, this seems to represent much of what’s good and what’s boring in the style all at once. On the whole it’s successful but also a reminder of how difficult (impossible?) it is to make "great" cream ale. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 14, 2008 A thin scum of a white head sits on top of a very pale yellow body. Hot dog is a smell I have never described in a beer before, but there’s always time for a first. There is also a cooked corn note, but not in the off flavor type. The taste is bread crust with some potatoes. A little bit of black pepper spice comes through in the finish. It tastes a lot better than it smells. I wanted to like this one more. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 15, 2007 Poured a clear very pale yellow color. The aroma was doughy with just light amounts of malt. The flavor was very light with a short finish. Light on the hops. Light body. Seems like this isright on for the style but not my cup of tea. The overall gets some boost for being to style.
