Bottle, courtesy sebletitje. Dark brownish pour, with a creamy tan head, and wet braids of lacing on the glass. Nose is lactose, roast and coffee, some chocolate. Flavor has coffee, lactose, dry grainy finish, and some dry toast. Smooth, thin body. Lacking flavor compared to the nose, but still drinkable.

Just bought this a few days ago, and im glad i did. Pours a thick dark motor oil black colour with no head. No head with just traces of tan lace. Aroma is immediately coffee on the nose, dark roasted malts and maybe some rubber?? Vanilla-y on the palate, soft caramel and slight but noticeable smokiness throughout. Another nice beer all around from Tom and the dudes at Lake Louie.

Nice aroma, chocolate and smoke. Pours a not-quite-opaque dark brown, minimal head. Solid roast malt backbone with a decidedly chocolate bent, only slightly sweet, smoke and a little dust on the finish. Coarse, lively mouthfeel on the front, becoming very smooth on the swallow. Eminently drinkable.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a hazy and opaque orangey brown with a tall, rough and bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with a heavy carbonation and an underlying acidity that indicates an infection. Lightly burned malt bitterness in the finish. 220808

Dark brown with a large slowly disappearing tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, roasted malt, chocolate and bread. Taste of milk sugar, sweet malt, chocolate. Dry acidic finish that’s sticky sweet and a bit chalky. So-so.

Bottle, shared by papsoe. A reddish dark brown beer with a big diminishing tan head. Slightly sourish nose with caramel and roasted malt. A bit dusty, with some dried fruits in the background. Roasted malt and caramel base flavor, with a little sourish, lemony and dusty touch. Medium to full body and a quite sour finish. Probably a little infection going on, at least my sample didn’t feel fresh. (080822)

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with a redish glare and a fizzy tan head. Milky citric and roasted malt aroma. Flavour is citric and yet with a hard roasted malt flavour with a dry and yet acidic base flavour. Solid roasted and slight citric finish.
