Sharp, roasted malt nose. Light head with not much duration. Seemed thin and watery. More like an alt than a stout. Light chocolate tasted. Smooth finish characterized by a light hop presence.

a very nice, but thin sweet stout. dark brown with a ruby edge. aroma of chocolate and coffee. flavors of mild milk chocolate, lactose and some coffee. pleasant taste but a little thin.

This beer came from an impromptu Madison trip. It pours a dark dark brown but is still thin enough to be seen as a mahogany in an off light. The smell is coffee roast, subtle sweet malts, and a heavy bread. The taste is all milk and roast. It leaves you creamy and malty but with that slightly bittering milk aftertaste, which serves only to make you want to drink more. It finishes clean but with a hint of bitter. A damn fine beer! Too bad I have to go to frickin Madison to get it.

Lake Louie has always come through. It does again with this fine milk stout. This stout pours a deep, dark brown with a small, tan head. Initial aroma is of café mocha followed by malt powder, vanilla bean, and a wisp of smoke. Creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation, medium body. The flavor repeats the aromas. Finishes slightly sweet and roasted. Very nice milk stout.

12 oz bottle. Poured a deep cranberry/brown with a short cap of creamy beige head. Nose was quite sweet with lightly roasted milk chocolate, lactose sugars, and the faintest hint of vanilla. Surprisingly, a mild hoppy bitterness provides the first flavor impression... this is followed by deeply-roasted milk chocolate, roasted barley, and more dark malty sweetness. Body was rather light, but never watery. Finish was a tad dry, with flavors of roasted chocolate and some woodiness. Very fine stout.

12 oz bottle! Shared with the PA crew. Thanks to Hopdog for sharing this rare beer from a brewery I had never even heard of. Pours black/deep brown with amber highlights, and a nice beige thin head. Aroma has the traditional sweet lactose aroma with a good dry roasted barley nose. Nice dry and light flavor but still a good amount of roast and chocolate. Modereately sweet all the way through and a nice smooth finish. Pretty good overall.

Poured a nice black color.Has a very nice sweet chocolate aroma.Upon first sip,got a wonderful chocolate malt and roasted malt flavor.Very smooth mouthfeel and a great finish.

thanks to hopdog for this... Appears a black with a tan head that lasts. A good looking beer with lots of lacing. Smell is of roasty and smoked malts, and lacto sugar. Taste is buttery, roasty, chocolatey and sweet. Mouthfeel is smooth, lactic, sweet, and dry.
