(Bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of cheese, coriander, clove, banana, and lemon. Flavor of coriander, light hops, wheat, banana, and some lemon.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with Brigadier (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Lots of small floaters. Aromas of spices (cloves, peppers and more), citrus, bananas, and general fruitiness. Tastes of spices, citrus, graininess, and lighter fruitiness. Thinner body.

Pale cloudy gold hue covered by a tiny white head that gently fades and leave neglectable lacing. Spicy though well integrated nose comprises a lot of little ginger nuances leaving a rooty (pale) impression while the highly crisp, almost toasty yet light and frivolous malts hint at potential wheat in the recipe. Concinuing nicely in mouth, very crisp and restrained in its spiciness. Gentle pale malts are easy-going procuring mellow sandy nuances when the gentle hops kick in. Diplomatically tart accentuating the drinkability, comfortable and light bodied. A good refreshing ale that avoids detours.

Any first impressions?
-A pale hay haze benefits from a sturdy veil of foam.
-Cheesy hoppiness (aged?) and multifarious ginger are linked by a milky pond.
-Straw maltiness and herbal hops are ably balanced into an authentic Belgian mold.
-A valiantly Belgian mouthfeel offers a plump maltiness which remains drinkable due to its vivavious but never aggressive carbonation.

What if you dig deeper?
-Delicate herbal hop bitterness adequately follows a minty, spicy hop flavor.
-The citrusy ginger apport isn’t too spicy, and moreover well-leveled with the rest of the beer.
-Liquefied summer is always a pleasure.

Cloudy dirty peach color with a moderate lid of small bright-white bubbles. Light fruit nose. Aromas of peaches, light plum, hints of orange and white pepper. Very light, but pleasant bouquet. Light coriander flavors mingle with the light fruit. and mildly spicy finish. Perhaps a bit to timid in areas, but considering where this is brewed a great effort. Enough spice to take it out of the wit, to light for a triple, not quite strong enough for a saison, but a really good quaff of a hot muggy day.

3 x 12 oz bottles shared with several Quebecois and one other drunk American at tiggmtl’s going away party in Montreal, from a New Belgium glass. Cloudy dirty gold, yeasty and lightly oily, with a bit of lasting white head, sedimented....spicy (ginger and orange peel predominate), lightly cheesy/moldy aroma, which grows funkier by the minute, apricots rotting in the sun and fragrant Saaz hops showing up eventually.....earthy and dry on the tongue at first, sweeter pale malt at midpalate, mineralic towards the finish, moderately yeasty throughout with a light, airy and extremely quaffable mouthfeel....in short, a wonderful session saison.

Pineapple and banana fruitiness are dominant in the nose with underlying hay, grain and cheese notes. Fruit seems overripe and builds nicely as it warms. Hazy blonde body is topped by a decent white head that recedes to a partial cover with some lacing. Banana, wheat, citrus flavours blend harmoniously with mild but notable spicy character and herbal, haylike hops. Undercurrent of funky overripe fruit and old cheese. Light body is fluffy in texture with decent, soft bubbled carbonation that awakens the tongue. Going Away Party.
