A fine porter. Dark brown but clear with a brownish head. A bit of smoky /chocolate notes. Fairly bitter and a bit unbalanced. Easy drinking in cold Wisconsin.

Oct 11, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The look is red tinged black coloir with a tan decent head. The smell is malts, caramel, coffee, pbj, and chocolate. The taste is sweet, chocolate, peanut butter, and jelly. Smooth feel.

Oct 10, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Deep brown with a cream head. Nose is light alcohol, chocolate and roastiness. Not bad on the palate with a sweet chocolate flavor.

Oct 8, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a fading tan head over a dark brown body. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate, coffee, and nuts. Taste is strong coffee, dirt, licorice, and coconut. Dry mouthfeel with sharp carbonation.

Aug 30, 2009 Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and citrus. The flavor is acidic with notes of malt and caramel. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Aug 26, 2009 Nice creamy head, dark brown color, so dark no light gets thru. Smell roast barely and plumy malts. Had a piney/resinous bitterenss that lingered, taste the roasted malts and hints of chocolate and plums. Moderate to full bodied. I like this porter, will drink again.
