pepperford (108), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA Mar 23, 2008 Very dark on the pour. The head was almost not there. Dark raosted malts and caramel aroma, with a hint of tobacco. Malty, chocolate, coffee, and a bit of caramel. a very full mouth feel. It was all right, but a bit thick. Tripplebrew (285), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Mar 18, 2008 Pours a dark chocolate with No head. Aroma is of subtle chocolate, little coffee grounds present. Toasted malts. Flavor is of toasted malts (tanginess of hops present). Chocolate/vanilla. Body is medium--definitely not thick. Little carbonation present. Skyview (2921), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Mar 16, 2008 Served cask drawn at the Happy Gnome Firkin Fest in St Paul, Minnesota. Pours a semi-hazy dark brown brew with a thin off-white head and some spotty lacing. Aroma of light roasted dark malt, a touch of seafood, light cherry, dark chocolate, and some floral hops. Taste is smooth with a taste of orange and dark chocolate with some light carbonation. Finish is a little citrus spice with a light chocolate aftertaste. This sslightly reminds me of their regular bock beer with some citrus flavors.
