Aroma of citrus, cereal grains, light fruit and mild funk. Taste of caramel, alcohol, ripe fruit and malt. Some sweetness and light bitterness comes through and it finishes up with warming. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2009 Bottle… October ‘09 O-Town Throwdown!… Clear, dark copper ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is earthy and lactic with a notation of wood. Full-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavor is a disjointed mish mash of sour, sweet and bitter. Finishes tangy and dry. Dissonant and confusing, but pretty good... I guess. Bottle courtesy of Daknole! daknole (2918), Plantation, Florida, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottle and served in my NB worthy glass: Deep reddish amber with an initial large head that fades but laves good lace on the glassware. The aroma is caramel, crystal, cardboard, some lactic acid, and dusty yeast esters. The taste has a twangy and acidic fruity component that shows that the beer is starting to turn into vinegar. There is a healthy dose of sweet malts and some light piney notes as well. The mouth feel is soft and utterly underwhelming. Yep, this is past it’s prime (if it every had one is another debate). Note that this bottle has been in the frig since the day I brought it home, goodness knows how sour it would be if cellered. anders37 (4636), Malmö, Sweden
