(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber with an off-white head. Discreet, tart caramel aroma. Medium body with caramel and fruit and a piquante acidity that hardly is intended. Subdued bitterness. 260708

Bottle shared at Friday’s gathering - unfortunately I don’t remember who brought this one. Pours a dark amber with a thin linen white head. Aroma of oranges, iced tea, and an odd metallic odor. The flavor is worse than the aroma with overripe/spoiled oranges and a strong metallic flavor. I like sweet things, but this one is sickening and just tastes like rotting fruit fished out of metal can. Yuck.

Bottled - tasted blind. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with dusty notes of hops as well as an edge of acidity. The flavor is sweet malty, but also with an acidic edge, leading to a dry bitter and tart finish.

Bottle shared by goldtwins (thanks?) - smells like play doh, wax, oranges, spruce - tastes tangy, with citrus pulp, pennies/copper - really sweet - more like Sunny Delight than beer - go for the purple stuff instead.

From bottle #24 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours slight cloudy orange with a lacing white. Spiced and slight cardboardish aroma. Sweet and light citric flavour. Orange fruity and mild spiced. Lingering caramel and light spiced yet with a persisting citric strong flavour into the finish. Sad and infected yet has notes of what it should have been. Re-rate needed.

#24 Bottle [Sk8viking great American blind tasting] Average creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma of toasted malt, wood, mild vanilla, mild fruit and a hint of bread. Over the palate came mild sour notes, vinous and light fruit feel. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and a hint of dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light sour and bitter notes. Sweet lingering mild sour finish. 5 / 3 / 5 / 2 / 10 = 2.5

Bottle. At first I liked the aroma, rich, sweet malt, some ginger, but then it evolved into Yankee Candle Shop. Flavor just kept this going, oddly candle-like. After a few sips, just got far too sweet. I’m completely baffled by some of the better reviews of this beer. I’m almost even baffled by my 2.6, I just can’t forget the promise that it once showed...

Bottle shared by goldtwins (I think?). Pours a brown/amber with a thick white head. Aroma of iced tea and maybe some slight citrus hops in the background. Flavor of sweet iced tea. Wow, this is sweet. Too sweet. Tastes like super concentrated iced tea. Blech.
