A dark ruby color with an off-white uneven head. For an American Strong this sure has an old world aroma, sort of like an old barn after a thunderstorm. First impression on tasting was YUCK, an odd taste as something seemed off, much like drinking expired milk. A heavy caramel and musty hops taste, it just seemed to taste very old. A poor buy.

Deep reddish amber with a small, firm off-white head. Aroma is a load of citrus and sweet dark fruits. Flavor is sweet citrus and pine at first moving to rich, caramel malt. Nice medium bodied brew with a bittersweet, fruity/piney finish. An excellent beer.

22z bottle-A dark hazy amber body with a small tight off white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and more hops. Flavor begins with hops, citrus, and malt. this continues throughout the mouthful and finishes with some sweetnessand dried fruit. It’s a little complex but stilla drinkable brew. Not sue what they were going for but a nice tasting beer.

pours dark brown, tannish head with nice lacing. some kind of musty, muddy aroma. flavor is alo musty, with sweet note, and the finish also has a fruitiness with the muddiness. not a bad brew, but not a favorite at all. i am not sure i would drink more than one....

Part of a blind tasting. Poured red with a thick tan head. Aroma was strong hops and caramel. Flavor had a sweet and complex caramel along with a great hop profile. Lots of dark fruit going on with this one as well. Finishes bitter with a nice clean finish. Very surprising.

Thanks Jason. The beer pours to a ruby mahogany body with a creamy dark tan head. The aroma is soapy hops and cherry juice. The flavor is sweet and woody with mulled cherries and bitter generic hops. Interesting, however. Although, I’m not sure what they were brewing with this one. The palate is sweet and medium bodied with a sticky feel.

Bottle shared by Jason. Clear brown body, wispy tight white foam. Pine essence and woody malt in the aroma. The flavor has lots of pine & grapefruit hop bitterness over a pale malt base accented by caramel. Kind of a disjointed hoppy strong ale; nothing wrong with it just not that tasty.

Pours a brownish color w/ hints of red or brownish coppers full head w/ nice lacing. Odd funky hopy aroma ... just odd. some sweet notes weird spices. Palate is avg. Flavor is odd... wierd dry bitter hop mess in my mouth and an odd tart fruit that just wasn’t that good.
