twindadplus2 (359), Wisconsin, USA Jun 15, 2008 Deep reddish amber with a small, firm off-white head. Aroma is a load of citrus and sweet dark fruits. Flavor is sweet citrus and pine at first moving to rich, caramel malt. Nice medium bodied brew with a bittersweet, fruity/piney finish. An excellent beer.
Ughsmash (3081), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bomber. Poured medium-deep reddish-amber with a well-retained, creamy cap of beige head. The aroma had a hefty dose of cherry vinegary sourness that was quite concerning.. candied fruit and toffee sweetness beneath.. smelled like it was a real mess. The flavor confirmed my fears.. sourness wasn’t completely disabling, but it was found in all facets of the drink.. sour dark fruit skins at the fore with drawn caramel and toffee sweetness behind.. bitterness was light and primarily pine and citrus inspired.. finished sour and sticky. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation and a sour impression throughout.. this never felt good or tasted good. mwelsh13 (193), Maryland, USA Sep 14, 2008 22 oz bottle pours a deep copper color with a nice thick tan head. Sweet and dark fruits, grassy hops, and slightly sour aroma. Very sweet, almost cider, body. Starts very thick but drys at the swallow. Alcohol hits in your stomach. Not sure what to think of this one. Jmichael (582), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Sep 8, 2008 pours a red clear with mild head, mild sweet aroma, sweet front with sour strong hop finish, dry front. Thomas_E (5065), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 7, 2008 Hazy orange colour with a beige head. Hoppy, piney aroma with caramel sweet notes, but also an off aicidic note. Malty, yeasty, aicidic and buttery flavor. dutch23mp (87), Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA Sep 4, 2008 22oz bottle brought from Wisconsin. Great aroma pours with a nice light tan head with disperses rather quickly an above average flavor, slight acidity, with a definite fruity taste.
