Part of a blind tasting. Poured red with a thick tan head. Aroma was strong hops and caramel. Flavor had a sweet and complex caramel along with a great hop profile. Lots of dark fruit going on with this one as well. Finishes bitter with a nice clean finish. Very surprising.

22 oz. bottle. Light sweet aroma, doesn’t cover alcohol smell on this strong ale. Small cream colored head. Flavor is strongly hoppy with a nice malt balance with a lot of hops and a bit citrusy. Bubbly mouthfeel, despite low carbonation. Generally pleasant, but (and I don’t often say this) the alcohol is a bit too strong for this brew.

Deep reddish amber with a small, firm off-white head. Aroma is a load of citrus and sweet dark fruits. Flavor is sweet citrus and pine at first moving to rich, caramel malt. Nice medium bodied brew with a bittersweet, fruity/piney finish. An excellent beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep garnet-hued body with a small white head. Smell: Malty aroma blend of caramel and toffee with lemony citrus fruits and a pinch of breadcrusts. Taste: Sugary sweet toffee candy flavor. Bright, fruity burst of citrus zest. Hint of toast. Restrained hop bitterness. Touch of alcohol on the sweetish finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: It’s alright! Yes, even I enjoyed it.

Pours an amber color with a medium frothy head and tons of white lacing. Aroma is like a barley wine, with some citrus and toffee poking through. Taste is sticky, toffee, hoppy, with a hint of the barley wine style.

Clear rudy orange liquid. Moderate beige head that settles to a tight thick lid of bubbles. Decent lace. Sweet aromas. Caramel, sweet rudy red grapefruit juice, with hints of dough and green hops, freshly rolled hops in the hand, wafting about. Seems a touch green otherwise a solid 8. Toffee and caramel, with a touch of licorice in the front and middle. Light pine, citrus zest and some resins in the middle and carrying on to the finish. Slightly warming as I reach the half way point of this bomber. Nothing overly complex, A strong ale, with plenty of hops, a fairly light malt backbone. A solid, if not sensational strong ale.

Had a sample and wanted to try full bottle. Courtesy of ughsmash was able to do so. Sweet malt along with some carmel and pale citrus fruit. Deep amber body with good head and good lacing. Flavor had a malt backbone that produce caramel thickness and a sugary pepper bitter nes was also fighting for some attention. Easy on the palate and enjoyable brew from Badger land. Thanks Jason.

Sample at PCBF 08. Pours a translucent amber with a medium off white head. Aroma of citrus, very floral, toffee, nuts and a touch of malty sweetness. Flavor was fruity, lots of citrus, some pine, toasted malt, caramel, toffee and nuts.
